Merry Christmas

Image
Ok Y'all this will be my last post until after the new year. This momma needs to get herself busy! I am almost done with the shopping and making- but I have not wrapped one present yet! NOT ONE! Plus- We will be busy spending the holidays with our family and friends! But I wanted to share a few pictures before signing off for 2010. I took Ella Rae to my mom's preschool last week for their Christmas show and party. At the end of the party, Santa came to visit! I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to introduce Ella Rae to Santa. Now she has seen him in books, on the tv and little figurines around the house, but never in person- except for last year but she was only 10 months old. She always says HoHoHo when we talk about Santa so I really thought she would love him. She did not: The BEST part about these pictures is that Ella Rae's Granddaddy is Santa!!!! hahahahahahahahahahaha I find this hilarious. We were so concerned that Ella would recognize Grandaddy's

CHRISTmas

Image
10 more days till CHRISTmas! "It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes, or bags. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. Maybe Christmas doesn't come from a store. Maybe Christmas...means a little bit more." I shared this quote on facebook today and wanted to share it with blogger world, as well. Let's all remember the importance of CHRISTmas this holiday season. It's not about the presents. It's not about the tree and decorations. It's not about the cookies, food, meals. It is about Family. It is about Peace. It is about Love. But most importantly, It is about Jesus . It is about Mary and Joesph. It is about the Angels, the Wise Men, the Shepherds It is about the miracle of Jesus' birth. It is about Luke 2: 1-38 ******************************************************** And in other news.... (can you see the snotty nose) (and tired eyes?) Ella Rae has not been feeling well this weekend and week. S

Fashion Friday

Wanted to share a few pictures... Ella Rae has been picking out her own clothes lately. I will lay something out for her, she will look at it, then look at me and say 'nooooooo'. (it really is that drawn out and it's sorta whine-y with a scrunched up face lol) But sometimes I can persuade her choices and she will at least be matching: Other times though, Ella Rae is persistent on what she wants to wear. So mommy allows her to express her creative side and wear whatever her little heart desires. Even if its a 9 month shirt turned into a skirt, a silly Christmas shirt, and pink snow boots: the finger in the nose totally made this pic 10x better! I will admit the back view isn't quite as bad, but still, a shirt turned into a skirt? I don't know where she comes up with these things! And due to the freezing cold temperatures here in South Carolina We have to be wrapped up in big heavy coats. Not so fashionable either, but very necessary. And very cute! Hope everyone en

Top 2 Tuesday

This weeks top 2 over at The Undomestic Momma is your top 2 favorite ornaments. While we love the traditional "First Christmas Together" and "Babies First Christmas" ornaments, these next two are by far my favorite. This ornament is special to me because it is the one Kelly and I bought for Ella Rae when she was still in my tummy. We had gone to Savannah for some Christmas shopping and diner one night and decided to stop at World Market to look at the ornaments. This one just reminded me of the sweet little girl in my tummy. It was so small and dainty, just how I imagined Ella to be. It is Ella's first ornament! This ornament is my all time favorite because it was my Grandmothers. It was always a tradition that my family would go over and help my Mommom and Poppop (my mom's parents) decorate their tree. I loved finding spots for the few birdies Mommom had. After my grandparents passed, my mom divided up their ornaments for my sister, me and herself. This wa

Our Thanksgiving Week

Image
It's been a while since I blogged, I was enjoying thanksgiving festivities and my wonderful husband's birthday! This post contains alot of pictures taken over the past week. We will start with Thanksgiving. My parents were in New Jersey visiting friends and seeing my sister. (she flew to PA to visit friends too) Kelly, Ella Rae and I joined his Mom, Brother and Grandmother aka O'ma, Uncle Ryan and Nana-Mimi for Thanksgiving diner. I forgot my camera, and Oma's camera was dead but luckily Uncle Ryan had his laptop so we were able to get a few pictures with the webcam. Here we all are! Even though Ella isn't smiling, she is looking at the camera and that's good enough for me! O'ma, Ella and Uncle Ryan Kelly and I haha... brothers.... And finally, Ella Rae and I. While my parents were in New Jersey, we stayed at their house to take care of their silly dog. We also took Ella Rae to the playground in their neighborhood. As you can see, the pictures are pretty b
