Here are a few more videos of Ella Rae walking. She really knows what she's doing now! I think she is actually choosing to walk some of the time. But, as you will see, she knows that crawling is still the fastest way to get around. Again, you might want to turn your speakers down, my screaming is a little excessive haha. My- how time flies! Ella Rae had her 1 year old check-up yesterday. I was actually pretty sad about this check up because Kelly wasn't able to be there with us. This was the FIRST appointment of Ella Rae's that Kelly has EVER missed! I am so proud of how involved he is, and wants to be, with Ella Rae. He loves his little doddle more than any daddy I know, and it shows! Anyways, Ella Rae's check up was great! She is in the 50th percentile for height and weight! The Dr. also told me that they are no longer recommending "high-fat" diets, so 2% milk would be fine for Ella Rae. We (Kelly and I included) had made the switch to whole milk about a week ago and though it is delicious, it is not figure friendly. Just the other day, Kelly had suggested buying 2% for us and whole for Ella Rae... now we don't have to! I gave Ella Rae 2% this morning, and I don't think she even realized the difference. I was able to get this video of Ella Rae walking on my cell phone. It is much better than the first video I took (see below) a few days ago. She really has the walking thing down now... she just doesn't know it yet. Crawling is still her #1 mode of transportation (along with mommy's hip). February 18, 2010 This was the first time I got Ella Rae walking on video. The video is very close, you can only see her feet moving. And I was very excited so my enthusiasm is slightly excessive. But still, it was the first time I was able to get her on video. See I have been having such a hard time getting the walking on video because once she saw the video camera she would revert back to her #1 mode of transportation, to get to the camera faster. This video was taken Tuesday. But, today, I was able to entice her with the cell phone and get a really good video(see above). February 6, 2010
