1. It was a fabulous weekend weather wise here in the Lowcountry. Yesterday it was in the mid 70’s! Of course I was working all weekend but that didn’t stop us from getting out and playing before and after I worked! 2. I found a 10% off code for Overstock.com. It never expires but can only be used one time per email. Code: 121745 3. The 12 Days of Ella Rae It is hard to believe that tomorrow starts Ella Rae’s birthday month (yes, we do months ‘round here…)! I thought I would do something fun for the days leading up to her actual birthday, February 12th. Enter- The 12 Days of Ella Rae. It is going to be where I post pictures of the past 24 months of her precious life. Some of the pictures will be repeats that were already on here, but the first year of her life I wasn’t blogging so there will be some new photos from that time. I can’t wait to take a trip down memory lane…. besides, who wouldn’t want to see more pictures of this almost 2 year old?!?

A blast from the not so distant past...

I realized that I never shared our family photos we had taken back in October. The preschool’s photographer will take pictures for the employee’s families so we took advantage of it! I didn’t share them because I knew I was going to use some for Christmas gifts and I didn’t want to spoil it for ya’ll! Ella Rae was 20 months old in these photos. She has changed so much! Family Pictures: The same picture as our Christmas card, but in color Daddy and Ella Rae Mommy and Ella Rae And now onto the Ella Rae show: Happy Tuesday Everyone!

1. This household is under the weather. It started Wednesday with Kelly, Friday with me, Saturday for Ella Rae and Sunday for Kiya. Yes, the dog was sick too (all over Ella Rae’s room- might i add!). Today, everyone is back to normal but yours truly. And unfortunately, mommies can’t take sick days so we are still having fun! 2. see… All smiles from Ella Rae. I think she looks so old here! 3. O’ma gave Ella Rae this cute pink jacket for Christmas. It has a little bow on the back! Ella Rae loves putting her hands in the pockets! 4. We are working on potty training over here so this is a common sight Ella Rae HAD to go outside with Kiya because she put her boots on. haha 5. Ok, now I’m off to lay down while Ella Rae is napping. Pray this cold is gone soon, please! Happy Monday Everyone!

What baby’s wearing

I wanted to share some of what Ella Rae has been wearing lately. The good AND the bad! She likes to pick out her own clothes, or lack of haha. Ella Rae wanted to wear this tutu one day- It was a gift from Gigi and she loved to dance around in it…. but only for a minute! This cute dress was a hand-me-down from our friends in Pennsylvania. Ella Rae loves it! Ella Rae insisted on wearing this shirt one day. It was a Christmas gift from O’ma! Sporting her Eagles jersey before a game last week Ella Rae wearing mommy’s red high heels. I told her she had some big shoes to fill. haha And here is an example of the bad…. look how saggy that diaper is!! No mother of the year award, here! haha but Ella Rae was just too sweet looking out at the window, waiting for Daddy to come home from work. this picture is included only because I don’t want to forget that moment. Ella Rae calling out “Daddy” then finding his picture on the fridge. This girl loves her d

Snow Day 2010

Image
The day after Christmas, it snowed! This was the second time it has snowed here in the Lowcountry this year. The first time this year was on Ella Rae’s first birthday. There was more in February than this past snow in December. It’s hard to believe that we actually had TWO snow days this year. The snow falling on 12/26/2010 There was even some snow on the ground the next morning! Oh, and here are some pictures from the snow day on Ella Rae’s first birthday 2/12/2010 The snow falling and accumulating on the roof. Happy 1st birthday Ella Rae! love love love this! So Ella Rae’s birthday is now less than a month away. I am not so excited about that! I can’t even believe that I will have a 2 year old soon! Ahhh. I sure hope those ‘terrible’ two’s aren’t so terrible because I don’t think I could handle much more. Ella has been a pistol lately! Her favorite words are ‘No’ and ‘Mommy’ and she always uses them together!!

Leigh Ann's Baby Shower

Image
I joined 4 other women to throw my sister’s baby shower while she was visiting over Christmas. It was my first time actually being a part of the planning and I really enjoyed it! I was in charge of the invitations, decorations and games. They are doing a teddy bear theme in the baby's nursery so we tried to incorporate teddy bears throughout the entire shower. Let's start with the invitations. My sister and brother in law have decided to wait until Baby T (as we like to call him/her) comes to find out their gender. I knew I wanted the invitations to be gender neutral, but it was difficult to find something that represented my sister. I decided to hand make her invitations. I printed the words on to card stock and used scrap book paper as an accent to off set the white card. Then I put different zoo animals and boy/girl decorations around the cards and added a little teddy bear to each one. Each card I made was different, and I created 50 total!!! It was a ton of work but defini
