Friday favorites

Hey friends welcome back to another Friday favorites post! I am so happy the weekend is here. The girls and I love to say Fri-yay on Friday’s because we are just so darn happy to have no alarm clock for the next 2 days! It’s been a few weeks since my last Friday favorites but here is what I have been loving this week:  1. My most recent Amazon re-purchase was for these Elderberry gummies . The whole family started taking elderberry in addition to our daily vitamins when the pandemic started. These are our favorites. They are delicious!  2. Lysol. No explanation needed there 🤣 a year into a pandemic, I am still loving my Lysol disinfectant spray and very thankful it’s easy to find now! I spray everything the kids bring home from school. And all the hard surfaces in the house. And my car. Everyday.  3. Justin Bieber’s new song Hold On has been on repeat in my house since it came out a week ago. The girls and I are anxiously awaiting his new album! I’m a huge Bieber fan and that will nev

JUST BE KIND

in all situations and to all people. If everyone in this harsh world changed their mentality to kindness this harsh world wouldn’t be so harsh. If you’re being kind, there’s no room for hate. If you’re being kind, there’s no room for anger.  Peace and unity.  Love and light.  Kindness and acceptance.  That’s what the world needs more of. So let’s do it. Let’s change our frame of thinking to kindness. When bad things happen, and they will, let’s remember to first choose kindness. Those other emotions can still have a place in your heart but if you start with kindness, your reaction will be less severe. I promise.  Just be kind

We made it to another Friday friends. I am so excited about these favorites from the past week.  1. Time Magazine shared the Michelle Obama  Interview  of Amanda Gorman. So very good!  2. Taylor Swift’s song Love Story . Man I love Taylor Swift and listening to a favorite song that she re-recorded in 2021 vs 2008 just gives me all the feels. I can’t wait to hear more of her re-recorded music.  3. This delisous new treat from Snyder’s. Chocolate covered pretzel balls. Salty and sweet in one, nice little bite. Yum!  4. And to round it out, this quote has been on my mind all week. Just trying to show love in my everyday life to everyone I encounter  ❤️❤️ 2/19/2021

Tips for a better life

I attended a virtual learning conference last weekend. I am a preschool teacher and we need 15 hours of continuing education every year. We had 2 full days of learning and it was invigorating to learn new things and hear new perspectives! One of our instructors asked everyone to share a tip of any type with the class. I love what everyone shared. Here are a few favorites: *drink more water *be kind to others  *pray *deep breaths *take a walk *smile *QTIP : quit taking it personal  That last one is my favorite! I have never heard it before but it falls in line with my favorite abbreviation NMP : not my problem. I think we could all worry a little less about what others are doing and saying. True happiness comes from within so be happy with yourself and don’t let others get you down. I hope you all have a great Wednesday and if you don’t like something- QTIP!

Friday Favorites

I am so excited to share my four Friday favorites! I think a big part of my fear with blogging was not having enough “topics” to talk about so I am going to incorporate some scheduled topics. My Friday favorites will be 4 things that I bought, saw or used the past week and loved. I will always try to include links and pictures. I can’t wait to share these favorites with y’all each week!  1.  Amazon Basic Sheets  I love these sheets! They are so soft, reasonably priced especially for the kids and super cute.  2.  The Shop Forward  This amazing online shop is based out of Nashville, Tennessee and donates a portion of every sale to specific charities. Check out their website and social media pages! 3. Binge watching shows on Netflix. What are your favorites? I am currently watching Designated Survivor and have Firefly Lane in my queue.  4. Driving across the bridge and seeing the sunset! Sunsets are my favorite. Forever and ever, Amen! Thinking of the things we like and enjoy is a great

July 6, 2020-  I haven’t blogged in years. Literally 7 years. So why start back now? I want to remember this time. I want to savor this time. I want this to last even when it makes me crazy. I have wanted to be a “stay at home” mom since I first found out I was pregnant with Ella Rae. But I was 20 years old, about to get married and knew that wasn't in my cards. So I worked. I have always worked. I've worked part time to try and be there for my girls as much as possible while still bringing in some money. Let me add, my sweet husband has always worked his ass off, full-time, for our family. But, of course, it's not enough. (Is it ever?) So for the past 11 years, even through the birth of my second daughter, I was a "working mom". Then these words started floating around our world. Coronavirus. COVID-19. Hand Washing. Social distancing? Stay at home orders? Quarantined? And suddenly, on March 15th 2020, our world changed I became a stay at home mom! The public
