Friday favorites

Hey friends welcome back to another Friday favorites post! I am so happy the weekend is here. The girls and I love to say Fri-yay on Friday’s because we are just so darn happy to have no alarm clock for the next 2 days! It’s been a few weeks since my last Friday favorites but here is what I have been loving this week: 

1. My most recent Amazon re-purchase was for these Elderberry gummies. The whole family started taking elderberry in addition to our daily vitamins when the pandemic started. These are our favorites. They are delicious! 

2. Lysol. No explanation needed there 🤣 a year into a pandemic, I am still loving my Lysol disinfectant spray and very thankful it’s easy to find now! I spray everything the kids bring home from school. And all the hard surfaces in the house. And my car. Everyday. 

3. Justin Bieber’s new song Hold On has been on repeat in my house since it came out a week ago. The girls and I are anxiously awaiting his new album! I’m a huge Bieber fan and that will never change. The fact that my girls are getting into music and love Bieber too makes me so happy haha. 

4. I am feeling very hopeful for our country lately. Im sure you can agree with me that the past year has been unbelievable. Sometimes, I truly can’t wrap my head around that fact that we are in a pandemic fighting a deadly virus. I lost family to this virus. My friends lost family to this virus. I bet everyone knows someone that has died because of COVID-19. It’s heartbreaking. 

But, I have this hopeful feeling that times are changing. There are more vaccines becoming available, the economy is about to get a huge boost and I can see that life is starting to resemble how it was pre-pandemic. There is a light at the end of the tunnel and I hope you can see it too. 





* edited to add: you know blog posts are written beforehand... There was a Presidential address last night, and I want to add that I still feel hopeful!

Today, November 17, is Prematurity Awareness Day! This cause is near and dear to my heart because our sweet Ella Rae was born 6 weeks premature. We were definitely on the upper side of the 'premature spectrum' so to speak, as many babies are born waaay earlier. We did, however, spend 14 days in the NICU after Ella's birth. It was a whirlwind to say the least. Did you know that 1 out of 8 babies are born premature? And the amount of premature births has risen 30% since 1981. That means too many babies are coming early and too many parents have to endure the unknown of their child being born prematurely. Today is a day to fight for those babies and families. In honor of Premature Awareness Day, I thought I would share some pictures of Ella Rae's Birth. The very first photo ever taken of Ella Rae. Today I am joining Goodnight Moon's link up party where we share a song. It's no secret that we (Ella Rae and I) are fans of Justin Bieber and I absolutely love this song of his. He is only 17, but he's got a wonderful heart and donates a lot of money and time to many different charities and organizations. We are definitely fans! And a sweet picture of my girl, just for fun!! travels, visits and pics

Things have been pretty crazy round these parts lately. Ella Rae has definitely started acting like the old adage “terrible twos”. She certainly hasn’t been terrible by any means, just different. More active, busier, and she hasn’t been sleeping great. That means when she IS sleeping, I am taking some mommy time. Blogging just hasn’t been my top priority when there is always a sink full of dishes and multiple loads of laundry  to be washed and folded. We are counting down to Baby T’s arrival. My niece or nephew is due this Saturday so we are anxiously awaiting a “My water broke” call or a “I’m being induced on this date” call. Either way, I can’t wait to be an Aunt!!!  Here is Lala at 38 1/2 weeks! Doesn’t she look AMAZING!?! That being said, we are all getting ready to travel to Albuquerque!! Gigi and Grandaddy leave on Thursday and will stay almost 3 weeks. It will be Gigi’s longest time away from Ella Rae AND her longest time away from home ever since being married!! Baby T sure
