Miscellany Monday

This household is under the weather. It started Wednesday with Kelly, Friday with me, Saturday for Ella Rae and Sunday for Kiya. Yes, the dog was sick too (all over Ella Rae’s room- might i add!). Today, everyone is back to normal but yours truly. And unfortunately, mommies can’t take sick days so we are still having fun!

O’ma gave Ella Rae this cute pink jacket for Christmas. It has a little bow on the back! Ella Rae loves putting her hands in the pockets!

We are working on potty training over here so this is a common sight 100_3623-2Ella Rae HAD to go outside with Kiya because she put her boots on. haha

Ok, now I’m off to lay down while Ella Rae is napping. Pray this cold is gone soon, please!

Today, November 17, is Prematurity Awareness Day! This cause is near and dear to my heart because our sweet Ella Rae was born 6 weeks premature. We were definitely on the upper side of the 'premature spectrum' so to speak, as many babies are born waaay earlier. We did, however, spend 14 days in the NICU after Ella's birth. It was a whirlwind to say the least. Did you know that 1 out of 8 babies are born premature? And the amount of premature births has risen 30% since 1981. That means too many babies are coming early and too many parents have to endure the unknown of their child being born prematurely. Today is a day to fight for those babies and families. In honor of Premature Awareness Day, I thought I would share some pictures of Ella Rae's Birth. The very first photo ever taken of Ella Rae. Today I am joining Goodnight Moon's link up party where we share a song. It's no secret that we (Ella Rae and I) are fans of Justin Bieber and I absolutely love this song of his. He is only 17, but he's got a wonderful heart and donates a lot of money and time to many different charities and organizations. We are definitely fans! And a sweet picture of my girl, just for fun!!
